Dry Creek Specialties is an internet marketing business who partners with other companies to present unusual and specialty products that can be hard to find elsewhere. It is pleased to be able to bring to you the works of Golden Cockerel, the premier manufacturer of Russian nesting dolls and other Russian artistry items.

Golden Cockerel works in partnership not only with its studio in St. Petersburg, Russia, but has a warehouse center in North Carolina that manages their inventory for them. Golden Cockerel has been in business since 1993 and it was in 1997 that they launched their website business. Golden Cockerel, since starting their website business has become the premier manufacturer and distributor of Russian nesting dolls in the world. They employ nearly 100 artisans and crafters throughout Russia to make their products.

Golden Cockerel's import business was built by a Boone, North Carolina resident, Walton Conway, following his two-year stint as an English teacher in St. Petersburg, Russia. By working directly with the Russian artists, Conway has been able to have a hand in the creation of new items, designing and commissioning nesting dools the likes of which the world has never seen. Golden Cockerel's forte is custom work.

Golden Cockerel's dolls have been featured on the ABC series, "Lost", this past season, and they were commissioned to produce a nesting doll to promote the movie, "Being John Malkovich".

Golden Cockerel was founded upon a desire to help others help themselves by providing a market for the work of Russian artists. This market for the Russian artists artistry has been taken one step further where the artists nurture the next generation of artists by teaching the traditional Russian painting styles to the residents of Orphanage #3. The orphans use their new found skills to paint brooches and Golden Cockerel sells them, with all the proceeds going back to benefit the orphans. For example, last winter the purchase of new winter coats for the entire orphanage was made possible through this effort.
